Guns in Dragonland is a short play comprised of five vignettes, each following the story of a child and their imaginary friends, each a dragon protector. Tackling themes of grief, bravery, and community, Guns in Dragonland centres the topic of gun violence in America and illuminates the experience of everyday children who have suffered the consequences. In my design, I chose to focus my resources on creating realistic children with extraordinary dragons that compliment and influence them.
Imaginative, innocent, headstrong, tomboyish, princess of the dragons
Motherly, caring, protective, responsible, lively, loving.
Cringe, lively, playful, quick-witted, emotional.
Rough, brash, laid-back, caring, inviting, loud.
